Hmmmm ... I've never been there, but I suspect you were actually eating at McDonald's, and you were having hallucinations about dirt because of sunstroke or extreme thirst! It's an easy mistake to make, Big Mac = dirt ...!!

Yes people eat the white and red dirt. The red dirt is clay or sour dirt. I love it and if anyone know where I can purchase some red sour dirt from please respond. I am not malnourish but I love that red sour dirt..

You are talking about chalk and yes it is eaten for lots of reasons. Chalk is used in lots of medicines and it comes straight from the ground. Georgia is famous for it.

There are several kinds of clay that people can eat--red is the most common but I assume that there is a white variety too. Don't know the name, sorry.

I don't have an answer for you, but once a friend from Nigeria offered me this gray little cube... it really was dirt.. I wrapped it up and lied, telling her I'd eaten the whole thing. She just rolled it around her mouth like it was nothing!

They sell it at a stand?! I knew that malnourished people in the South and elsewhere sometimes eat dirt (the practice of eating dirt is called "pica"), but I did not know they sell it at a stand!
