Too many kinds of hunger... Be more specific.

If you mean as a condition of the body.

It is a survival instinct. It keeps you from dying.

If you mean world hunger. Government stupidity usually.

If you mean drive and determination hunger. I believe that is something you either have from birth instilled within you by example. Or you learn it as a result of the negative aspect that come with lacking it.

If you mean H.U.N.G.E.R as in "The mouse from H.U.N.G.E.R.
That was a spy organization that Jerry the mouse was a spy operative for. They were against Tom the cat and devised clever ways to get the cheese!

I don't know what you mean but there ya go...

That feeling we call hunger is very complex and not fully understood. Primarily low blood sugar causes the hypothalamus to secrete hormones that induce "hunger" but the pituitary also is set off by low blood sugar and secretes hormones.

This doesn't even get into how learned responses, psychological reactions, influence brain and hormonal chemistry. So there is no one reason why we get hungry.

Some are hungry even when blood sugars are high but the hormone release is triggered by emotional response. Others can have low blood sugars but the hypothalamus and pituitary do little. They just don't know enough yet

Your pituitary gland makes you feel hungry. If you could control your pituitary gland you could possibly never feel hunger, and live on what you are supposed to have.
