The definition of a Veggie is not someone who only eats things of vegetable origin. I assume you just chose to deliberatly mis- understand that to rant, not very clever really.

It doesn't matter what sort of pompous girlie snit you want to get into - Angus is right. Your question asks for famous veggies or vegans, and assuming you meant famous vegetarians rather than famous vegetables Angus is right on the money - your definition of the word 'vegetarian' is wrong and his is right. This means that the answers to your question are miles off because the vast majority of people nominated in the answers are no more vegetarians than I am, and I eat meat. Eggs are not vegetarian; they are animal. Fauna. Gallus domestica. They contain animal fats and proteins. Easting chicken eggs is the same as eating chicken meat, just like eating caviar is the same as eating sturgeon. The same can be said for milk and the many 'vegetarian' products made from it - they are not 'vegetarian' at all. Get used to it - if you eat foods of an animal origin you are NOT a vegetarian. It doesn't matter if you don't want that to be true.
Incidentally, the imbecilic statement ; "The definition of a Veggie is not someone who only eats things of vegetable origin ... " made me laugh so hard that nearly choked on my chicken and bacon sandwich. The definition of a vegetarian IS a person who limit his diet to foodstuffs of a vegetable origin, you berk. How can a vegetarian eat food of an animal origin? In what Universe does that make sense? Please, tell me which dictionary allows eggs, milk, cheese, yoghurt or honey (cheers, Angus) to be classed as vegetables?
