Genital herpes (herpes simplex virus 2) is usually spread by having sex with a person who has the virus (vaginal, oral or anal) and/or by direct skin to skin contact with the genital area with someone who has the virus. A person can also contract genital herpes from a person with cold sores giving them oral sex. There are also other ways like childbirth, but this is REALLY rare. Genital herpes can be spread whether the person is having an outbreak or not.
Cold sores can be spread by simply kissing someone who has cold sores. A person can also get them from sharing drinks, chap stick, lip stick, cigarettes, etc. with someone who has cold sores.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 7 years ago, while I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I realize a lot of young ladies will declare this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/36zZU everything changed.
Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

i like to think of it as HISpes. lol. blame everything on guys.. no im kidding..
you can contract herpes by being in contact with someone who has herpes.. whether it be through sex, oral, touching, anything.. even by sharing chapstick with someone who has it.. dont you watch those valtrex commercials?? well even if someone isnt showing signs of herpes you can still contract it from them so be careful.. those suckers are hiding. always protect yourself and make sure you know who your partners are and dont ever use other peoples lip balms

By being in contact (skin to skin) with someone who has herpes. If you have 100 contacts with a person with herpes you have a 17% chance of contracting herpes.

You can get herpes by having unprotected sex (orally or vaginally)with someone who has it. Never have unprotected sex, and always get tested.
