you have likely developed sleep apnea. You should ask your doctor for a sleep study. If you do have sleep apnea, a cpap machine will keep you healthier and happier and you will sleep much better.

What Are the Symptoms of Sleep Apnea?

Symptoms in Adults
People with sleep apnea usually do not remember waking up during the night. Indications of the problem may be such vague symptoms as the following:
Excessive daytime sleepiness.

Morning headache.

Irritability, and even impaired mental or emotional functioning.

Snoring. Bed partners may report very loud and interrupted snoring.

Heartburn. (Acid back-up that cause heartburn, in fact, may be responsible for some cases of sleep apnea.)

Also trying sleeping on one side or the other, sleeping on your back causes snoring and sometimes causes you to stop breathing.

Consider a CPAP. The headache may be due to a lack of oxygen getting to your brain during sleep from possible sleep apnea, a common symptom among people who snore.
A CPAP forces oxygen so your brain & heart do not experience oxygen deprivation & cause damage while you sleep.

I am the partner who snores. Flipping, waking up, ear plugs...all don't work. I had a sleep study done and found out I have sleep apnea, a potentially dangerous condition. I have a CPAP machine now which prevents the apnea and also stops the snoring. Have your partner check into this.
