And My pelvic was sore but that went away and my throat isnt sore anymore and under my jaw isnt sore anymore but the side of my neck is and i also have alitlle cold in my chest i feel ok though and the uncomfortness in my penis is gone. I went to the doctor and got a urine test done everything came back normal. and now im starting to think that its h.i.v since i didnt have anything else im getting a h.i.v test this saturday should i be worried. and should i also get a swab test when they stick something down my penis hole to test for std's cause the urine test doesnt seem effective. Or could this just be a common cold because that's been going around lately. i need some good answers.

First of all SERIOUSLY DOUBTFULLY AIDS! I believe it could be only a couple of fairly-serious things. #1) Herpes...it causes your lymph nodes to swell (and you have those all over your baody in the places you mentioned, but Herpes usually causes them to swell in your pelvis area). #2) Mono (the kissing disease--could explain the cold-like symptoms, aches, pains, and swelling, but not burning urination). A urine test doesn't check for herpes, and a blood test wouldn't show that you have the antibodies for 2-3 months (meaning it would show negative if really early on). You must have lesions (could be inside or outside penis, requiring swabbing of the shaft, ouch) to be able to test skin for immediate results of herpes. Your first breakout is the most severe, causing painful urination and enlargement of the lymph nodes. It usually shows within 7-20 days of sex with infected person. Also, possible just infection treated with antibiotics. If it was mono, I believe a blood test or other tests are needed to rule out.

I had a friend who had AIDS. His doctor told him that the ONLY SAFE SEX IS NO SEX. Condoms can get tiny holes in them that you cant see and that is enough for any kind of virus to get through. They also can slip off or break. There have been lots of women get pregnant using a condom.

I don't want to scare you but you do need to be tested for HIV now and then again in 3 months and again 3 months after that. In the meantime do not have sex of any kind with anyone.

There is another possibility. It is possibly you could have cotracted mononeucleosis. It is nothing to be scared of but does usually need to be checked out and diagnosed by a doctor.

And it could be a cold or even alergies at this time of year.

My best advice is to take this as a wake up call and dont have sex any more until you are married. Chances are you are ok but think about it...if it winds up being nothing , it could have just as easily have been HIV.

And no , a swab test isnt real painful...just a little uncomfortable.

First of all, I'm so proud of you for having PROTECTED sex. That's excellent!

I had similar symptoms (except for the penis bit) when I had mono. ALL my glands were swollen and sore. You might want to have your doc check for mono and Epstein-Barr (the virus that causes mono). Don't get too freaked out though, especially if all your sexual contacts have been protected. It's likely you have a nasty virus that is making all your glands swollen and uncomfortable. Take good care of yourself. Also, if you need privacy and a place to get good care and advice for cheap or free, try Planned Parenthood. They are great on preventative education and might give you free condoms.

This is why people as young as yourself should not participate in sex. They cannot deal with the possible results. You probably do have a cold. As you did use a condom, you probably do not have an STD. Get the HIV testing done for your own peace of mind. Try to grow up a little before proceeding with an active sex life.

The pains you felt could simply be from a unrinary tract infection, when you get an infection it is not unusual to have swollen and tender lymph nodes.

HIV can takes months to manifest symptoms.

Be sure to continue to use protection for your health!

It really could be many things but many people get STDs even if they use condoms. I am not a physician but i work in the health field, but to me it could also be Herpes ( a lot easier to get than HIV), a friend of mine went through similar symptoms and got Herpes, make sure you get a Herpes test, most urine test do not check for herpes, Urine is more for syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. In his case he has to get a second test to detect the herpes. Good luck and god bless

Sorry, but the news isn't too good. It sounds like you've got something bad. Get all the tests done, then don't have sex anymore.so,you wont pass it to anyone else

All I can say is to get tested. At some point you have to trust the healthcare professionals to know what they are doing. Talk to your doctor and see what he reccomends.
