If it's on your head it's probably dry scalp. Neutrogena has a great product for that. It smells kind of funny though.

I do not think so but you may have dandruff. Dandruff is a lot less common then most people realize. A lot of shampoo companies sell dandruff shampoo when what they are really meaning is shampoo for a dry scalp. Dandruff is a medical condition that needs to be seen to by a doctor so he can prescribe medication. If you are having soreness and/or bumps or your scalp has an odor get it seen to.
Other then that make sure you use conditioner on your hair and rinse it out well. Good luck!

No, it couldn't be an (STD). What it could be however, is Dandruff or Psoriasis. Both cause an itchy scalp, but Psoriasis causes red patches of itchy skin on the scalp and possibly on other parts of the body as well.

No, STDs are usually found on the genital area. Some STDs like herpes and chlamydia can occur in the mouth after oral sex. You probably just have either drandruff or eczema on your scalp. Nothing a simple shampoo can't cure.

do you have little flakey things falling off your head too?
hmmm could be dandruff. Head and Shoulders brand shampoo should do the trick .
If its just dry and itchy without the flakes try any GOOD scalpmoisturizing shampoo...neutrogena has a decent one.

NO its not an STD on your head. If it was in your pants then youd have reason to worry.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
