It depends on your definition of vegetarian. The true definition of vegetarian is someone who eats no meat or dairy products.

However you shouldn't be looking at a definition of a word to decide whether you drink milk or not. It should be your decision. If you want to drink it then do so.

Just vegans: they refuse to use any animal by product. But milk from cows comes naturally so vegetarians frequently drink milk and eat cheeses, yogurt, etc.

Vegans dont drink or eat anything from an animal in any way shape or form. Vegetarian means that you dont eat meat. Some vegetarians are not strickly vegetarian it depends on what you want. Dont let someone tell you that you cant eat something if your vegetarian. You can eat whatever you want to. But vegans are more strict then vegatarian. That is true.

Vegans dont drink milk, eat any dairies or eat chicken's eggs. It's all a matter of opinion. Unless you're a vegetarian by strict dietary rules, it's 100% completely up to you on whether or not you want to drink milk.

Enjoy.

leave that to the vegans. Although some vegetarians make the decision to cut out just dairy, or just eggs. By cutting out milk you'd be an ovo-vegetarian. If you eat everything but meat you're lacto-ovo veggie.

It's vegans that don't drink milk of any animal, not just cows. Baby vegans do drink their mother's milk, however. It's not very good for you. I'm a vegan.

It's up to you but remember that cows milk is not all that great for human consumption. Look at the label, it's high in sugar thus raising blood sugar levels. It's the perfect food for baby cows though : )

Most vegetarians identify themselves as either:

vegan - no animal products whatsoever
lacto-vegetarian - no meat or eggs, but dairy products are included
lacto-ovo-vegetarian - no meat, but eggs and dairy are included

If you don't want to give up milk, you don't need to. It all depends on your comfort level and your reason for going veg to begin with.
