I am a new vegetarian. Now, my question to you is did you ever get cravings for meat once you changed (this is if you were not raised vegetarian ofcourse) I have not had any.. It actually repulses me. I am going on just over a month... Could cravings still come? Or am I just all the sudden a vegetarian? It was like a switch for me... One day after I made a meatloaf, I had 1 bite for lunch of the leftovers and that one bite changed me... I would love to never have another meat craving again! Did you have any? And if so, how long after you turned veggie?

I've been a vegetarian for 4 years and have never had meat cravings. If i did, then it i would have ate the meat, and stopped being a vege. Do you really want to be a vege? I think you've really got to consider that....................

I have been vegetarian since 1979, and I have never once craved meat - it disgusts me. For the first few months I ate meat when away from home, as I could endure it without actually barfing if I didn't see (and smell) it raw, but it still disgusted me. I eventually decided the convenience of eating meat at friend's houses and the restaurants other people chose was just not something I could continue doing. I started telling people straight up, "I don't eat meat" when they invited me, and nobody made a big deal over it. So after that I didn't have to eat something that made me feel sick anymore.
But my advantage was that I didn't make an intellectual decision to be vegetarian and then try to force myself to stick with it. Rather I stopped eating meat because of the "dead" taste that was such a turn-off that I just couldn't put it in my mouth.

I cannot say that I am a complete vegetarian because once in a blue moon I still eat pepperoni. Don't ask me why, but my brain doesn't register pepperoni as "being meat" so I'll eat it. However, if I think about it too much I'll puke! Literally.
So, answering your question (and forgetting about the pepperoni *laughs*) no, I have never had a craving for any kind of meat. The process of weaning for me, if we can call it that, started when I was a child and my grandmother slaughtered pigs for family feasts. I hated to see those poor animals right before their deaths. Then poultry started repulsing me.
Yeah! I know I shouldn't be eating pepperoni either... but that too will go soon, I can feel it coming, the day when I'll have that one last bite of animal products.
Take your time and go slowly... there's no rush. Good luck!

Turning to be a complete vegetarian all of a sudden is difficult! U can try slowly by avoiding meat on 2 days say Saturday,Sunday .Then for Monday too and so on.. This could remove ur cravings for meat as days go by!
All the best!

I have occasionally had cravings, but never to the point of actually considering eating meat. I just think about my reasons for giving it up and that is enough to stop me eating it.

I hate the taste of meat so i never get cravings for it. Although, once i had a craving for a McDonalds hamburger. That was totally strange since i've only eaten McDonalds like twice in my lifetime.

It depends on the person. The only meat I ever have a hankering for nowadays is fried chicken, and the yen isn't strong enough to get me out of my chair, and is usually solved by eating something salty.
