I understand what you're saying completely. Not long ago I asked for recipe suggestions for a "vegan" dinner party I was having, and I got a bunch of idiotic comments about how I should grow up and start chewing on a cow...something along those lines.
It's stupid that people waste their time making posts just to put others down. It works either way, I've seen animal activists go completely out of their way to embarrass and harass someone for liking hamburgers. Sure I wouldn't take up eating pork chops, but I think vegetarianism, like anything, is a choice someone has to arrive at on their own. Being informative is one thing, and being disrespectful is another. We have to recognize that in any aspect of life.
PS- vegetarians are sexy.

I know, it is unecessary. You are a very mature, well adjusted and articulate teenager so don't let freaks like this get you down. There are ACTUALLYwell adjusted omnivores in the world for example, Rob b , he is an omnivore but is not trying to convert us, he is happy to do his thing and does not diss us for doing ours!! We get it here too when we ask legit questions. I get told that by being Veggie I'm going 'Against nature' by really red,fat omnivores. My brother and other people who eat too much salt and meat were always getting on their soap boxes!!! Have you read Foxhunter_guy's dumb questions yet? He is the Poster child for never eating meat EVER again!! He is way mentally younger than you and he is like 50 or something!!!!!!

You make some body mad they turn you in. If you go to far your out of here.;;; Idiotic questions are usually fine but I fail to see why you would want to be rude or insulting. By the way... If your gonna post rude things learn to spell so we can read them before we turn you in. :) If on the other hand you are getting rude or insulting answers un less its really bad just consider the source.

We will be dealing with this till the end of time. But on the upside any forum about Vegetarianism will have a "stupid things omnivores say" section that most likely will number in the thousand of posts. these are always great for a laugh.

I think they do it only because they need attention. They know that if they take a stab at something that is so important to us, that we will give them the attention and reaction that they are looking for... Just ignore the childish. Its really sad that adults have to act this way. I always get this also.
Either that they are just so insecure with themselves that they feel they have to attack others that believe differently then they do. Again, very sad that adults have to act so childish.

They're bored with their lives, primarily because of a lack of imagination and spirit, and so they play games with you on their computer.
What you should do is fight back by helping enforce the guidelines put forth in this forum.
Report them with cogent reasoning and help get them removed; they're antagonizing, dispiriting, agitating, cajoling, demeaning and disrespectful.
Fight back, damn it.
I do.
Who needs them. Don't put up with it for one second.
Hunt them down and squash them like a bug.

Exactly. Personally I am not a vegetarian but it does make me ponder "Why are these people so irritating?". I don't know why but people don't exactly respect other people's views. Just don't bother about these people. =)

Mostly because it makes them feel better about eating meat.. even though they know they shouldnt...and it intimidates them that some people have been able to make a compassionate moral and difficult decision.
But some of them are just stupid.
