i have had an respiratory infection three times, the last time (9/26/06)
the er doctor asked if i was ever told if my ms was affecting it.

It makes it harder to take a deep breath over time. Your accessory respiratory muscles become weaker and it becomes harder to take a deep breath in. This makes your lungs less compliant. The use of Incentive Spirometer and Flutter Valves as well as some sort of Chest Physiotherapy will help with the breathing as well as lessening your chance at getting respiratory infections.

Both have found that a healthy diet can stop MS progression and even reverse it just by eating the right foods.

I have found similar help with my type 2 diabetes. I have not been sick in over a year and have no complications from diabetes. I even can go several days without medication just by watching what I eat, exercising, and keeping the weight down.
