It is an animal product. No it is not a "meat". Dog hair is an animal product but it is not a "meat". Looking at the 4 basic food groups its classified as a dairy product. Some vegetarians would not drink milk because it is an animal product. Ive often wondered, though, if milk is not produced for consumption why is it produced. I have often wondered if strict vegetarians would object to having had mother's milk as an infant or is it just milk from other animals.

Tyler is either 3 or really daft!!! No, it is an animal product but you don't kill the cow to obtain it. A lot of modern milk producing farmers are greed and profit driven especially in America, but Britain is guilty as well. They don't treat the cows well but they don't kill them Apparently in the U.S. they add hormones to Cows milk.
Lacto-ovo vegetarians drink milk but vegans don't touch it. And I hear that the Inuit peoples think cheese is a really disgusting and foul idea!!!

I don't think milk is a meat because to get milk, you do not have to kill a cow. I believe only animals that are killed ( that including eggs) are meat.

According to tradition, milk is not meat (I'm Jewish, and milk is definitely not considered meat in my tradition).
However, it is an animal product. Many vegetarians and vegans eat NO animal products, even milk, cheese and eggs.
