Clothes that are too tight, especially jeans. And when you work out, make sure that you change your clothes after, shower if possible. Also, some antibiotics can cause yeast infections. Check with your doctor if you are on antibiotics and he/she will prescribe something for the yeast infection.

Actually all females have a naturally acidic fluid that "cleans" our insides, what happens is if the area gets a lot of basic(base fluids such as sperm) it can leave the area vulnerable to infections. Also sweating, tight clothes, and the yeast on our bodies we also have small amounts of (candidae) if you put anything sugary down there such as edible underwear or something the yeast can feed off that and grow like wild fire! Thirdly some women can be prone to them from heredity, if your mom gets them often, it increases your chances for getting them. Hope this helps!

Compare a yeast infection with a mushroom. First of all it's a spore bacteria that grows in warm moist areas that are humid and damp. Get the picture.
Keep clean, dry, Lot's of air. I'm not saying you should go without panties but, it could help if you have a problem there. Your boyfriend could help spread it back and forth if you not clean. Cotton panties, clean, clean clean. And, dry as possible. use monostat or some other aid.

Several things can cause a yeast infection.

Medications such as antibiotics and steroids, uncontrolled diabetes, hormonal changes (such as those associated with pregnancy and birth control pills), bubble baths, vaginal contraceptives, damp or tightfitting clothing and feminine hygiene products such as sprays and deodorants don't cause yeast infections, but they may increase your susceptibility to infection.
