Thanks for all your answers. I already made these flowers for the cake. The color raisin is actually brown with some pink in it. The "color" raisin is not the same as a raisin that one would eat. I of course know what a raisin looks like.

I would say its a brownish black.

Raisin is tricky. Ones like Sun Maid raisins are usually dark purplish but different kinds come in different shades. Are u sure they don't want currant color? That's a type of raisin too that's goldish green. Do yourself a favor, call whomever wanted the cake and ask them to specify or better yet, give you a swatch or sample of the color, a picture a specific raisin, anything that will give you the right tint or hue they want. Raisin is a dark brown, almost black. For whatever reason though, most people consider it to be a shade of purple but it isn't.

Dark purple...or you could ask a cake decorator at a local grocery store..just to be sure.
