I have no idea but that person only did it because the cow's calf did it.

I bet they didn't have to--sometimes when a cow needs to be milked really bad it will dribble so I think that happened and they just started drinking but when it didn't dribble anymore they decided to try to make it come out some more by squeezing it.

You made me laugh - thanks! It was probably some thirsty guy who watched the calf getting something to drink and he just started pulling on that dangly thing and milk squirted him in the face. He tasted it and said wow, warm milk!
