yes, once I did many years ago, luckily I was already in the hospital, scary I felt totally helpless, I felt a pressure on my chest and all sweaty, next thing I knew some nurse was strattling me beating my chest and shoving nitro under my tongue then I felt myself drifting like in a dream, when I woke up I was shocked cause I thought I was gone.

All most, but not quite! Funny you mention "jaw pain" and "blurred vision" because I had both for several months and had no idea it was my heart. Had a 95% occluded L.A.D. which is terminal if it reaches 100%! Refered to as the "widow maker"!
But what was even more perplexing is that we have generic heart, stroke, and diabetes on both sides of the family and I have witnessed it so many times but must have thought I was immune to it! Caught me by total surprise! I was in a car accident in which I received back injuries. My doctor did MRI's and other test which did reveal damage as a result of the accident but not at the right levels in my spine consistant with my complaints. So he sent me to the cardiologist just to make sure and low and behold it was a good thing! Who would ever think jaw pain and blurred vision was a heart condition? I had no arm pain, numbness, tingling or any of those symptoms but did have a pain in my back that seemed consistant with my other injuries and my blood pressure was severly elevated!
My doctor found four blockages, two other that will need attention at some point and one that can't be dealt with so I can expect to have a heart attack. He tells me all heart attacks have the potential to kill but feels I should survive it when it happens due to its location. He also states I will be a canidate for open heart surgery at some point but they would like to continue stents as long as possible. The bypasses tend to get scarring tissue where the arteries are spliced and therefore recreate the same problem they intended to fix! For now, I am on blood thinners, Plavix, Aspirin, Lipitor, and other medications for blood pressure. Hopefully he's right! I am only 52 years young!
My dad had seven brothers and two sisters at which the oldest to survive only reached the age of 54! My dad died at 45 and my only brother had severe heart problems at age 38. I also have a sister who had a major stroke at age 35! So it definitely is a gene issue in our family! With all the new science someday they may be able to alter the gene and drive it out of our family. They also just found that stem cell research can completely reform a new coronary artery system in rats and hopefully in humans some day.

Yes, 18 years ago about a week after a complicated emergency caesarian, I was fortunately in hospital at the time. It was caused by a blood clot. Very painful in both chest and left arm and a weird numbing experience from head to foot afterwards as well - I still wonder whether I had a TIA (small stroke caused by clot in brain). The nurse's first reaction was that I had wind caused by having given birth a week or so previously. (Since when did wind occur in the chest and arm!!)

It turned out that i had hundreds of clots and took many months to get well because i also ended up with the clots on both the lungs.

It turns out I have a blood condition which at that time had not even been discovered, Factor V Leiden and Protein S deficiency so since the clots kept re-appearing, someone told me about the condition so I asked to get tested and am on warfarin for life.

No but I have experienced my dad suffering from heart attacks, I cried and felt very scared, over the years I have seen my dad have 3 heart attacks but he is still very lucky to be alive, he has just has a quad heart bypass and amazingly has come through ok, what suprised me is that he also had a pacemaker put in place which hurt the most.....lol, luckily he gets on with life and enjoys it to the full

I had an acute angina attack earlier this year. I got a pain in my chest, which felt like it was on fire, and I couldn't breathe. I laid down, and then got pins and needles in both arms. I told my husband to get an ambulance - fast!

I was taken to hospital, and kept in ICU and 4 days later I had two stents inserted. Lucky that I had this in Spain - in the uk there is a 10 month waiting list for angioplasty!

Yer gotta laff. Be crying if I didn't.

First point, Hey Pharri, Bollocks.
Sorry, now on with the question. No, but very recently I thought I was. Turns out it was hypertension, along with a panic attack. Scared me and I have made a few life changes.
Why you ask?
