Sadly Yes, took a "Health" class in the army while in Korea...I forget the technical/medical name for it. It is absolutely horrible and grotesque...but at least it's extremely rare. It was known to be in North Korea and have just a couple of victims in the past couple decades....You always die...and it's horrible what happens...it's the worst you can do to a body...skin blackening-splitting-bleeding-rotting...bleeding from everywhere...eeeechhh.... AND you're right, they won't let you back into the country...

over a million people in this country alone have syphillis..it's a very common std. and often times when you get blood work done, it's one of the first things they tests you for..you can not be baned from any country for having it.
