how long does it take for crabs (pubic lice) to show up once you've contracted them?

or, once you've found 3-4 crabs on your body, what's the approximate length of time they've been on your body? what if you find 10+? or how long does it take to become completely infested? I'm sure there's no standard answer, but I just want to know ROUGHLY how long i've had them if i can only find 3. One on the back of the neck and 2 in my pubic area. Thanks!

okay crabs are basically just like head lice, they have an incubation period just like lice, usually about 10 days for eggs to hatch that have layed....if all you are finding is louse and not any eggs then i would use some rid.... and go to my doc and get something for the crabs, but i would treat my hair and get some spray and spray furniture and carpet too, wash linens in hot water and dry them too

I once found a louse minutes after it arrived; I had been in the street market and minutes later my scalp started to itch. I went straight out and got some headlice shampoo and used it; only one louse appeared in the water but it took care of the problem.
If you have actually *seen* 3-4 lice on your body, there are a bunch more you haven't seen. The infestation is already there. Wash all your bedlinen, hats etc. in hot water, and get the treatment NOW.

OMG! I've never had crabs, so I really don't know. Head lice show up in a day, so I would think that bugs crawling on your privates would not take long either.

10 days like head lice I think. But--SHAVE SHAVE SHAVE! That will help They will have no place to lay eggs after you have been treated. I don't even know if you can use stuff down there! Good luck.

you can see one immediately but they will began to multiply and that takes a week or so if you do not get it treated
