Never thought about it, but that's a pretty good description. I love 'em. A pub near me does Parsnip crisps. Hmmm - I think I'll go there for lunch!
I'll check out foxie

There will be a distinctive taste of parsnips depending on quantity used. The cream sauce of scalloped will go very well with parsnips. I would go for it parsnips are often done in a cream sauce or mixed with mashed. Calories are not the only measure of healthiness and parsnips will add natural sweetness to the dish. sounds great.

I don't think parsnip tastes like potato or turnip or a cross between the two. I think it tastes like aniseed. I love parsnips roasted with a parmesan crust mmm

I think parsnip tastes a little sweeter than a potato but they are both root vegetables and similar in texture.

I really hate them. Much too sweet. Potatoes are bland and starchy. Parsnips are not.
