Thanks for the info.

And no, there are not emotional disabilities. There are emotional issues, but with couseling, medication, and simply agining, you can get over it and work like everybody else. Disabilities are when you can't walk, move, etc. And that's irrelevant to this question.

Yes of course not getting proper rest can raise your blood pressure. Just like what was said it causes your body to have more stress and then in return raise your blood pressure.

I am not sure...thats the answer to your question

And as to an answer you left a little bit ago about a girl with emotional disabilities getting a job...you should research the answers you give on here if you are going to be rude. Because there are emotional disabilities...they ruin peoples lives every day. There are many people that CANNOT work due to this. I am not going to try to really explain it to you as you aren't going to be receptive to what I have to say to you because by what you wrote you seem close minded and unable to accept things like this. And others that read your answer thought I am sure that you were rude and mean....the only ones who might have agreed with you are those who are close minded and uneducated like yourself!

You should be ashamed....because that girl will only feel hurt by what you said....People like that WANT to work ...but they cant....

and my source is being bi polar, having PTSD ( Post traumatic Stress disorder), and Agoraphobia ( fear of crowds) with panic attacks ....and reading every available thing on my illnesses I can

lack of sleep causes stress

This makes you secret cortisol and eat more , and norepinipherine and epinipherene and breath heavier, use more oxygen, and pump more blood

Getting little or nor sleep over the long term
can will contribute to heart disease, high blood pressure and obesity

I agree with Mandy 100%!! Disabilities are not always physical and can be mental and emotional. I am on disability myself due to depression and agoraphobia, plus numerous physical conditions. So..what you said about disabilities is misleading...

sleeping lowers it
exercise raises it
going without sleep for over 24 hours raises it temporarly due to the increased stress you are applying to the body/mind
