Have you eaten today?
Is it usually that low?
I think an untreated diabetic reading would be consistently higher than that, and you would be feeling tired, thirsty and having to get up in the night for a pee!
A simple test at the doctors will put your mind at rest!

I am a diabetic and have been for the last 38 years and test my blood using the English results(the same as you!)Blood sugar as high as 33.6 mmols is very high,it also explains your excessive thirst(and the need to wee!!!!!!!)Steroids are notorious for sending blood sugars through the roof,I suffer from brittle ashma, and steroids are a necessary evil. The insulin they gave you would have got your sugar down, but possibly quickly, hence the reason they didn't discharge you earlier. As you have also had a low reading of 3 you now also know what a hypo feels like!!! and yes, orange juice does work, but I swear by lucozade(tastes awful, but works quickly)Risks of high blood sugars being left untreated are:kidney problems, eye problems, loss of feeling in fingers toes etc which can lead to gangrene. You can slip into a hyperglyceamic coma, but the sugar levels have to be very high for a long time(at the very least,a week)so you'd know becuase you'd drink like a fish, and pee like an elephant, and start feeling sick and your eyes would go blurry and you'd also probably have the mother of all headaches. You'd not feel pleasant, and would go to hospital or see your G.P. before things got that bad!!!! The low blood sugar(hypoglyceamic reaction) must be treated quickly with a simple carbohydrate like lucozade followed by a complex carbohydrate like a banana or a couple of digestive biscuits. Hope this helps, good luck with your chemo.

Not because of that.
IF you were an untreated diabetic your blood sugar would be high.
A low blood sugar only occurs if you get too much insulin (or medication which makes your own insulin function better)
Anyone who is not a diabetic on treatment cannot become hypoglycaemic, ie, dangerously low blood sugar.
Why di you check your blood sugar??

Normal blood sugar level is 4-7.
A lower blood sugar does not only occur in people with diabetes. A healthy person can also develop lower blood sugar levels, which can be results of over-exercising, over-hydration (with water, tonic water, tea, coffee, and diet drink), or starvation.
A lower blood sugar level can also be caused by an over-consumption of refined sugary food which causes the body to over produce insulin, leading to a rapid drop of blood sugar level.
If you had a low blood sugar because you had to fast for 8-12 hours for a blood and urine test, it is normally acceptable and does not incur any healthy risk unless you have a hormonal inbalance which is very rare in this regard.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It depends if you're eaten recently.
A low blood sugar can indicate hypoglycaemia.
Type 1 Diabetes rarely presents as low blood sugar before insulin is prescribed.

A random blood sugar is not enough to give a diagnosis. 3.3mmol/L is slightly low. This wouldn't make you diabetic, it just means that you should eat something.
For a diagnosis, you would need a fasting venous blood glucose, and your doctor would only do that if there were other symptoms.

probably not.
An undiagnosed diabetic's sugar levels would be high. 3.3 is low but i guess that you just need to eat something.
If you are that worried about it go see your gp. But I doubt that you are diabetic!!
