When your body is in balance it usually causes no problems. When the internal environment is out of balance from stress or fatigue, the yeast can over grow.So you need to try and get the stress and fatigue to a lower level.
Since yeast is a fungus, treatment involves an anti-fungal medication. Several vaginal creams are available over the counter. Sometimes an oral medication is prescribed by a health care provider if the condition is very severe or not responding to cream treatment. It is always best to seek medical advice so you know its a yeast infection for sure.
If you've taken an antibiotic recently that might have caused it.So talk to your doctor about it and then get the medication for it.You may have to change the kind of antibiotic you take ,otherwise it will come back again.

Go to a doctors and get some cream (depends on where the infection is) A yeast infection isn't really an STD, some women suffer from thrush and that is just an imbalance of PH, so I wouldn't really worry too much about it just need to get it treated thats all!

you can just get a yeast infection doesnt mean youve cheated. you need to get some stuff from the pharmacy or docs dont know what its called. a yeast infection only occurs cause its warm down there and you can pick the bug up from anywhere. make sure its deff a yeast infection and not something else.

There are a few over the counter remedies you can try. simple creams that you rub on. However, even though your wife does not show any symptoms, you should get her some treatment also - otherwise the danger is that you just end up cross-infecting each other.
Canesten is one such treatment with a cream and a tablet..you just need the cream.
For more immediate relief from the itch etc, you can cover your itchy bits with natural, live bio yoghurt. it removes the itch really quickly...or maybe it because it is so cold it takes your mind off it for a while...either way, natural yoghurt is good..and it will give your wife a good laugh..!!

Go to doctor or pharmacist to ask for advice and don't be shy. However, i would recommend your wife is treated too and she may not show symptoms but you could be passing it to and fro. I think with men the cream works best - Canestan or similar - but do not have sex again until you are clear and maybe use condoms, if you dont already, for a while just to make sure. It is terribly difficult to get rid of. I suffered for a while. Can be brought on by stress. It feeds on sugar, so cut down and cut out yeasty and fungus things too like beer, marmite, mushrooms.
DON'T have hot baths - makes it worse!

You don't have to cheat to get a yeast infection. Many creams on the market do remarkably well at treating this. Try that and if it goes on too long, contact your physician.

i heard monistat works on men..
i also heard plain yogurt..apply direct and also eat. but not at the same time!
over the counter stuff works most of the time. make sure it IS a yeast infection. even though sexual intercourse is not needed to acquire this, but if so, it can be carried with an STD. so getting tested wouldnt hurt.

Go to the chemists - you can buy thrush treatments over the counter - the chemist will be able to recommend. Thrush is just a yeast imbalance - but you don't need to explain about your marriage! (Although thrush can be passed on - so take precautions to ensure your wife doesn't get it). Personally, I'd not sleep with my husband until it was sorted - thrush can be quite unpleasant. Mind you - us women see to get it each time we take antibiotics - which is so unfair.

Thrush can be caused by taking antibiotics. They affect me every time!
I buy a tablet from the chemist called Diflucan. It's expensive but it works - for women anyway. Maybe for you a cream would suffice - try canesten cream. Drink plenty to flush it out of your system too.
Good luck.
