Hi, I have some strange looking bumps on the entrance to my vagina, maybe they have always been there or I just noticed them... maybe its just the way a vaginal opening is??
But its freaking me out...
My fiance and I are trying to have a baby and im charting cervial mucus and noticed a small bump on my cervix the size of a nerd.
I have a gyno appointment on Tuesday but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this??
Ive looked at pictured of warts and herpes and they definately dont look alike!
Eep!!

they dont hurt, they arent red... they dont look like any of the pictures of warts.. that was my first thought too but if they were I think they would be in way more places than just the opening. And would hurt right??

Jessica it might be a skin tag. A skin tag can be flesh colored or have a little dis-coloration from your flesh color. Skin tags are stalks of skin that protrude from the body and are held to a persons body by just a little bit of skin. They are mainly in or around folds of a persons skin. For example,,,,an armpit, neck (near collar line), near vagina lips, near scrotum, in between legs close to groin area, or even at an individuals eye lid. It is common for Obese persons to have skin tags or people over the age of 35. The only pain they can give is from irritation due to rubbing against clothing or another body part. Some doctors have mis-diagnosed a skin tag as a genital wart; this is what occurred with me. My doctor said genital warts and my Gync. said skin tags. My Gync. cut some off with a pair of medical scissors and sent the specimans out for a biopsy. You need to see what your Gync. says after your appt. I am in the same boat as you are in. I have told you what i have learned myself. I hope i have given you a sense of ease. Good Luck.

Nowadays, every little bump, scratch, rash or spot worries us when we see it because there are so many diseases and symptoms for everything. When I was younger my parents and grandparents would say, "rub some alcohol on it and don't touch it for awhile and eventually it will go away" but now days it is not that easy. I would say the safe answer here is to wait and see what your gyn says and I would not have sex until I have got checked out just in case. Good Luck!

It could be genital warts. That's what it sounds like anyway.
