i used to wake up with cold arms that i could not move the just swung around they used to hurt when they touched anything but they would go ok after 5 mins. but its not happened for a while
if you are worried tell your doctor next time you go. if you are in the uk call NHS Direct 24 hours a day on 0845 46 47. i have always found them helpfull. but its probably means you are lying on your arm.

it is probably the pillow you're sleeping on. When sleeping, you should be in the same position as you are standing up; straight with your head flush with your spine. You are probably pinching a nerve in your neck and causing this problem. Try sleeping on a flatter pillow and see if that helps, or you can prop up your arm at night and take some aspirin with food to help the inflammation of the nerve that's making the limb tingle. If that doesn't help, call your doctor for a check up. Doesn't sound like a stroke to me. Godloveya.

Well i think the arm falling asleep issue is caused by the way you are sleeping. As far as the high cholesterol and angina I would go to the doctor and get a physical and possibly a stress test. Especially if it runs in your family. It's better to prevent something before it happens. My brother who is 35 just had a mild heart attack from a blockage. So you are never to young to have problems. Just go get checked out I did and i'm ok :)

mine used to do that almost every night until I discovered I was sleeping with my forehead laying on my arm which was cutting off the circulation....
If it only happens at night then I wouldn't be as concerned as if it were happening in the daytime when awake.
Always consult a doctor anytime you think your
heart is involved.....

Once I was having a nightmare that my arm was going to be amputated because there was something terribly wrong with it. In my dream, there was excruciating pain!!! I woke up with my arm hurting as bad as it was in my dream. I was sleeping on the couch and a nail was sticking out of it and into my arm around where my "funny" bone is. OUCH, OUCH OUCH!!!

It could be loss of circulation ie. sleeping wrong or a pinched nerve. If you have any chest pains, numbness in the facial region etc. see a doctor. Take care friend!

Try laying on your other side. A stroke does not just go away, even a TIA is not like you.

Shouldn't you be asking a doctor for medical advice?

See your doctor. It may be a circulatory or nervous system problem.
