sounds like youre doing some good stuff. Have you tried adding apple cider vinegar to your supplement list? It does wonders for lowering bad cholesterol and helps with digestion.

As far as foods to avoid read your labels carefully for sodium content and reduce that as much as possible. A lot of things you would think would be good for you are loaded with salt - things like soups etc. Try to get rid of processed foods and eat raw fruits and veggies every day. That simple step by itself can help. Also if you eat a lot of red meat, consider trying to cut that out of your diet as well. As far as herbs to avoid you may want to avoid things that are used in "diet pills" like guarana (caffeine in natural form) ginsengs, ephedra, stuff of that nature.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Garlic helps aid in lowering blood pressure. I have been doing this for years. Keep away from as much sodium in foods as possible and cut out all table salt.

Also try some herbs with calming effect such as Passion Flower and Black Haw. Hawthorn also helps lower blood pressure and is good for the heart.

People with high blood pressure should stay away from Panax Ginseng and Licorice Root. Both can raise blood pressure.

Best wishes for a healthy life.
