Yes. It can show as somebody mentioned earlier by fatty deposits on the eyelids usually upper lid and near the nose. Another way is by the presence of what is known as arcus. This is the white ring you can see around the cornea or as you would look at it in the mirror, around the iris. However this used to be known as arcus senilis so can sometimes just be associated with age. If you have these signs, you would be better advised to get your level checked. The lack of these signs does not however mean you do not have high cholesterol. Some pharmacists now provide checks in store to save waiting for appointments at your doctors.

No. You can't get a cholesterol level from having an eye exam. High cholesterol can cause eye problems, though, so you need to have that checked. You doctor will order a fasting blood test. You don't eat or drink after midnight the night before and that will give you an accurate reading.

You cant directly measure cholesterol by having an eye exam. Signs, such as yellow fatty deposits around the eyelids- called Xanthelasma will be noticed by the Optician and they can advise you to get your cholesterol levels checked more thoroughly.
They can look into the back of the eye at the blood vessels and look for signs of high blood pressure. Occasionally, fatty deposits can be seen travelling through the blood vessels, but this is rare and not seeing this does not indicate low cholesterol, so the best thing is for you to have a proper cholesterol check by your GP or Pharmacist

When you have high cholesterol sometimes your eye may have a fatty yellow film across it. This is a symptom of high cholesterol and is not enough to make a diagnosis alone

NO. But an eye test where they measure the pressure in your eye can tell if your blood pressure is a problem.
