(These recipes have you making the shredded beef from scratch. You can also buy it dried. I have seen it dried in some H.E.B. grocery stores in Texas, and I would bet Fiesta Mart has it, but I can't find anyplace you can order dried machaca online. SSo anyhow, the above are two from-scratch recipes.

Machaca Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 tbsp butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 oz carne asada, shredded
1/2 cup onion, minced
1 chile poblano, cut in long thin str, ips
1/2 to 1 chile jalape¤o, minced (to tas, te, optional)
Recipe Preparation
Melt the butter in a small skillet or omelet pan. Saut‚ the onion
until transparent, then add the carne asada and cook for a couple of
minutes. Add the poblano strips and continue to saut‚ until the
strips begin to soften. Pour in the eggs and fold in the jalape¤o,
and treat thereafter like scrambled eggs. Serve with salsa picante.

2-3 oz's sessina (dried beef ) break-apart (shred)
1/2 cup stewed tomatos
1/4 cup onion
jalapeno-or serrano peppers diced
1-clove garlic minced
1-egg per oz of beef
oil
salt and pepper
heat meat,oil
add garlic chiles and onion
add tomatos (meat will rehydrate )
let simmer (add some water if dry )
shift sauce to side and crack eggs in pan ,scramble season all with salt and pepper (careful with salt as the meat is already salted when dried ! ) dish is done when eggs are cooked ! let cool some heat a tortilla corn-or-wheat add some salsa and enjoy!!

Exactly. A dash of hot sauce, salt and pepper. As if scrambling an egg. In butter. Put on plate w/ an avocado half, black beans, warm tortillas, top w/ sour cream and salsa fresca. Don't forget the black coffee w/ sugar. Yummy!

u buy dried shredded beef, then just cook it in some oil with onions, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes and eggs.. u can put whatever you like on it..
