You should have a party by having entertaining music, French Fondue (delicious! you can look up the explanation on google, it will take FAR to long to e xplain here, lol!) You could even call it a Fondue party! Everyone I know loves fondue! You could aslo have musical chairs for audults. I did it a my house once and the audults had a BLAST! You should also have refreshments such as mints by the door and on the table. Have fresh flowers around the party room, and eat, chat, and play! It will be great!
Oh, and pick a color themese for your party! Like pink and green, then have the same color plates, napkins, flowers, cups, etc.

Good Luck!

My husband and I were newlyweds so we asked people to bring some of their favorite recipes so that we could start our own collection. Along with the recipes they also brought things that we would need to cook with.

Get settled a bit first. Send out the invites saying "Potluck! Welcome to our/my new home!" You don't have to totally be unpacked, you just want to show off the new place. Just get some paper plates and cups. And it's your new place, you shouldn't have to cook everything!
