Adobo is still my favorite, I like pancit, lumpias, halo halo and a lot more.

I lived near Makati for 2 years (7 - 9 years old) but I'm also american.

Adobo's my favorite, though I wouldn't say no to some pancit canton and pansit bihon, or some saucy meat dishes like caldereta or afritada with lots of red peppers, kare-kare with my mom's spicy bagoong, or plain old inihaw na isda (broiled fish) stuffed with some diced tomatoes and red onions. Yum!

I have a sweet tooth too. My favorite desserts are biko, kutsinta, and kalamay (all very sweet and sticky dishes made from rice), macapuno (sweetened coconut-flesh) and milky, creamy leche flan. Yum!

I'm a Filipino, proud to be from the good old Tagalog province of Bulacan.

Banana lumpia, YUM!!! Also, a custard-y purple cake (whose name I do not know) that my filipino neighbors served at their daughter's wedding reception way back in the early 80's. If anyone knows what that cake is called and/or knows how to make it, please tell me!!!

As you probably guessed, I'm not filipina, but I experienced filipino quisine both at my neighbor's (who was also my physician), and when I lived in Hawaii many years ago. I do know that my neighbors were from Manila.
