Yes, it's true.
According to the CDC, approximately 20 million people are currently infected with HPV. At least 50 percent of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives. By age 50, at least 80 percent of women will have acquired genital HPV infection. About 6.2 million Americans get a new genital HPV infection each year.

yes it is true but not exactly as you have worded it. 75-80% of the population has or has had hpv. some people clear their infection but nearly all sexually active people will contract it at some point or another

yeah, it's scary isnt it. I freaked out when i was told i had it when i was 15. but really i was scared for no reason b/c so many people out there have it and i'm not alone on it. Chances are you or someone you know will catch it this year. Its a common disease that you cant really protect yourself against. best advise if you dont have it, make sure who ever you sleep with doesnt either and stay with one person.

Yes it is true. Even condoms don't work to prevent it. Of course, there is a slight margin of error, yet my guess is they are about 95% confident about this statistic.

yes and once you have it - it never goes away. you will never be tested for it again. you may be asymptomatic - but you will still have the virus
