Absolutely.
Cold sores (genital herpes virus 1) can be spread by sharing cigarettes, drinks, lip stick, chap stick, etc. The most common way of spreading cold sores is by kissing someone with them though.
You can NOT get genital herpes from sharing a cigarette with someone who has genital herpes.

If the person with whom you shared a cigarette has herpes labialis ( herpes infectin of lips) then the chances of you acquiring it is high.
Although it is very rare for genital herpes to be acquired in the similar fashion it is not absolutely impossible because some people may carry the virus orally due to their sexual practices
