I don't know an exact figure, but when you take into account all of the kids who don't have access to meat because of poverty, and all of the kids who are buddhist or hindu, seventh day adventist, and then add the ones whose parents are vegetarian for other reasons, it probably totals in the millions.

My daughter and I don't eat a lot of meat. I'm considering a move to vegetarianism but am mostly concerned because of my own personal problems with anemia. I know that iron and protein can be replaced with meatless alternatives. I just haven't found anything that I like.

Two in my house, but I can't speak for the rest of the world. Seems like it would be hard to estimate, since my doctor only knows about one of mine... â¥

my daughter is vegan by her own choice - she's 12 & has always hated the taste of meat since she was a baby and i tried to feed her that pureed meat in baby food jars - i really can't blame her -have you ever tasted that stuff? it's nasty.
