He's in his 20's, weighs close to 300 lbs. Every other couple of days he has a little chocolate, and all of a sudden he begins to regain his energy and his positive attitude. When he goes a couple of days without just a little bit, he begins to get irritable and loses energy. He also feels very fatigued and gets minor headaches. He's a great guy, but I'm worried.

Have you mentioned your concerns to him? The only way he will find out if he is a diabetic is if his doctor does a Glucose Tolerance Test. It certainly wouldn't hurt for him to be tested. Because if he does have diabetes and doesn't get it checked, say he goes till he is in his 30's or 40's the damage to his body will be worse. I would mention your concerns to him and suggest that he be tested. If anything the doctor will suggest a healthy diet. And you will know for sure if he does have diabetes. There is also a blood test that the dr can take, an A1C. If he is above a 6, then more than likey he is a diabetic. Dr's usually want a person around 6, but if it comes back a 7 or an 8 or higher, he then has diabetes. You can find out more about these tests from your Dr. Or read about them online. Something he may want to do until he sees a dr. is to implement whole grains into his diet, vegetables, and fruits. Try to stay away from the processed foods and snacks.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Most diabetics whether type 1 or type 2 have excessive thirst and hunger. believe it or not they also lose some weight without trying. testing is only way to truly know for sure. the sugar probably gives him some energy that is why he perks up after the chocolate but not long after he will be down again. he may be saying that so he can eat it without feeling guilty also. 300lbs is a lot but he can loose it and will feel much better. my daughter weighed 317 lbs in May and now she weighs 268.she has just been eating low fat and good carbs(whole grains and rice) and she is walking 1-2miles a day one and somtimes twice a day.

Well, by his weight he would be at elevated risk, though diabetes would still be uncommon in someone that young (happens more and more these days though, especially in people that heavy). I can't say that any of the symptoms you are describing are indicative of diabetes, but they don't really rule it out either. I would really need some blood sugar measurements to say anything about whether he has diabetes or not, but there's not a whole lot of reason based just on what you said to suggest that he does.
However, whether or not there is any diabetes, he really should loose some weight, if it's not a problem for him now, sooner or later it will be, be it heart dieasese, sleep apnea, joint disease (especially the knees), or diabetes, he's at elevated risk for many diseases just because of his weight, and that risk only increases with age

Sounds a bit more like hypoglycemia. My wife had alternating hypo and hyper glycemia.. at one time (in the hospital) her blood sugar was found to be at 26.... she had movement but was not at home.. no mental response. But the nurse who was treating her had to stop the incoming nurse, as she was going to give her a shot of insulin for her diabetes. The body can do some odd things when there is another underlying condition to prompt it. She was 300 lbs also.

Its possible with his very high body weight, but type 2 diabetics are usually older. He needs to seriously tackle his weight problem otheriwse he will suffer from all sorts of serious health issues in the future.
The body weight he is carrying around will fatigue him and he possibly has high blood pressure which could cause headaches.

It sounds more like he is merely getting a sugar high. Regardless, he is at risk for many health problems. That weight in unhealthy and you should encourage him to do something to change that.
