You can only pass it when the chancre sores have not healed,or are open.That is when you are in the "contagious stage" Other wise it might be impossible.since it is a STD, oral sex a yes.

You can transmit syphilis from genitals to the mouth or eyes during sex. You then kiss the third person at your party, and bingo. You get syphilis from kissing. Rare? Certainly, but possible. Sexually transmitted diseases are frequently passed orally. Herpes is a biggy. The HIV virus has been passed that way as well. Normally, you don't get STD's from kissing, but please be aware, anything is possible.

Yes you can just like you can. So I would advise you not to kiss anyone with syphilis or if you have it don't risk passing it on. It's just like having AIDS or being HIV positive. IT IS CONTAGIOUS.
