I've been on Crestor for about 8 months, and it, along with dietary changes, have lowered my cholesterol considerably. I haven't had any major side effects from it, but wondered if anyone has, and what they are so I know what to be on the lookout for.

crestor, like many cholesterol-lowering pills, work through the liver, the liver is what controlls cholesterol anyways.

so be on a look-out for liver problem tell-tell signs (although itd be from the pill, rather than the liver). Like Jaundice, Dizziness, headache, chest pain, High Liver Enzyme Blood Count, dark urine.

Alot of people on Crestor reported upset stomach, chest pain and leg pain. but was temporary side effects that subsided after the first few weeks of use.

If you've been on it for 8months, and havent had any of these symptoms - then your probably not going to get any side effects, as 95% of side effects occour 48-72hrs after initial doseage of a new medication.

I was on crestor when it first came out , I had upset stomach and chest pains that the doctor thought were brought on by the crestor, not sure if that was the cause or not, my chest pain episodes have continued since then with no explanation for them.
