I've been suffering from a number of symptoms over the weekend and this morning I went to see a doctor, who diagnosed me with (acute?) tonsillitis. He's given me some medicine which has helped with the fever, chills and queasiness-- but in the intervening time, my tonsils have started bleeding in earnest. I'm not finding that on the list of common tonsillitis symptoms. Should I go see a doctor again as soon as possible, or would it be best to wait unil my next appointment on Thursday?

Go see the doctor. It isn't good to be bleeding in the throat in ernest. Losing too much blood you can go into shock. I'd advise you to call the doctor to inform him/her and see if you can't be seen sooner.

At least call their office and tell them about your bleeding issue. Then, if the doctor wants to see you they will make you an appointment for today.

Call them.

Hmmm.... just a guess, but perhaps a different doctor this time. Bleeding without a cut is pretty serious, I would imagine.
