If you had unprotected sex it's possible that you could have contracted ANY kind of STD including viral ones and bacterial ones.
The easiest way to find out if you have and STD is to get tested by a doctor. They are the only ones that would be able to properly diagnose you and offer treatment if necessary. Urinating after sex can help prevent women from getting certain bacterial infections like a yeast infection, BV (bacterial vaginosis) and a UTI (urinary tract infection). It will NOT cure any of these infections, but urinating after sex can help prevent developing these infections.
Bacterial STDs including chlamydia, gonorrhea, crabs (pubic lice), syphilis, and trichomoniasis ARE curable with antibiotics.
Viral STDs including herpes, HPV, hepatitis, and HIV/AIDS are NOT curable. There are medications to treat the symptoms of these viruses, but there is no cure.
Many STDs have many different symptoms. Most people don't realize they even have an STD because most STDs have no symptoms or can take several months and even years for symptoms to appear.

Good: You've both been talking. You've both agreed on what happens if contraception fails. Questions: Have you both been tested and given a clean bill of health? Does she strictly observe her contraceptive dosage regimen and take it at the same time each day? Are you both willing to temporarily go back to condoms for a cycle if she misses a dose? Have you both EXPLICITLY agreed to be monogamous or to use condoms with any other partners? Are you two open and trusting enough to actually discuss any failures in the monogamy agreement without it being a relationship-ending catastrophe? Does she actively dislike children and display a fair amount of desire to not have any? If you answer no to any of these, you're exposing yourself to a risk. I'm serious about this. See the J. Sex Res abstract linked below. Only 52% of couples had both partners explicitly agreeing to be monogamous, and 29% of those young couples who did have breached it.

Usually the first symptoms of STD's except hepatitis or AIDS is painful urination, which could just be a bladder or kidney infection. But if you start getting any kind of sores on your private parts, you'd better get your butt to a doc, QUICK! No pun intended!

get tested by your doctor... or they also have annonymous tests if you don't want your name to be on the test... You can not rely on yourself to diagnose it, there are too many viruses in the world today!

by going to the dr. and getting tested. there are too many diseases out there now to be able to rely on the old-fashioned ways of diagnosing yourself.
