I used to live in Puebla, Mexico, and I am dying to eat some chiles en nogada, but don't know anywhere nearby that makes them. Anyone know a good place in LA?

Lauren S. writes: This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the L.A. area (OK Montrose - but its worth the trip) for quality of food and price. The food is always fresh, tasty and they serve some great chile dishes. Chiles en Nogada is one of the house specialties and its worth a try. Walnuts, pecans, dried fruit, and meat stuffed in roasted poblano chiles topped with sweet pecan cream sauce and punctuated with fresh pomegranate seeds make a sweet yet surprisingly yummy dish. Another thing worth mentioning is how good their soup is. They have a variety of creamed vegetable soups (the carrot is like nothing I've ever had) and the more traditional pozole, plus a special soup of the day. Moreover, the service here is quick and friendly.
