High cholesterol levels can lead to reduced blood flow which also will affect memory. So will depression, anxiety, lack of sleep, bad diet as well as the disease states mentioned by the people above and quite a few others. Look for the more obvious and easier to deal with reasons before going for the more exotic.

Senelity, old age, and those are not diseases. Premature loss of memory are Alzheimers and from strokes. Some brain tumors may also attack the areas of the brain concerned with memory.
Stress, emotional distress, near death trauma can also cause them.

The only ones I know are Alzheimer's, and Senility. Even though Senility is not really a disease its just old age.

do not eat silver coated cakes ,actually they are aluminium coating causes alzimer's.use healty veg. no non -veg. as any on-veg may cause madd cow virus inside ur head.
eat brahmi from indian Ayurveda.
