If you eat dairy then you just have to look for Gelatin- nothing chewy or gummy- no starburst or skittles.
If you are vegan- try the original Spree no chewy, twizzlers, laffy taffy
Check labels just like everyting else

All health food stores sell vegetarian and vegan candy. It's hard to produce cakes, bars or candy that has no egg (lethicin) in them, and they don't keep long. Some candy companies use colouring derived from insects, and fats or preservatives from marrow, so watch out. There's some good vegan cookbooks with cake and cookie recipes.

Do you eat dairy/eggs? If so, then probably just hard candy. Stay away from cremes, choc, butterscotch, toffee, and caramels.
If you do eat milk products, then I think just about anything would be fine. Other than gelatin, I can't think of any animal products that are in candies.

Seriously? I'm aware of no candy containing any form of animal tissue or product.
