I'm only on three a day here and I HATE them !
All I can offer is sympathy, and that I do offer truly.
I'm working my **** off here to loose weight and get a medication review so I might drop the Coversyl or the atenalol dosage, or drop one medication completely.
I think the hardest part for me has been giving up smoking after 20 years... Ohhhh that HURT ! Yeah, it's self inflicted but hey... so's everything else we do.
Keep on your med's and ask you GP if there is anything you can do to work towards lowering dosages, or dropping medications in future.
Good luck.

Wondering whether you had a heart attack. You probably don't have high cholesterol or high blood pressure because you are taking your pills. There are meds that can control the pain. NitroGlycerin in patch form is quite commonly prescribed for chest pain. You need to discuss these matters with your cardiologist.
Don't stop taking your pills. Can be a bore and expensive, but they are necessary to keep you alive and active. Think positive. Think of it as taking my "alive" pills.

Like you I am on loads of pills for various ailments including heart, lungs and spinal problems and sometimes I get sick of all the pills and inhalors that I have to use so wouldn't it be a good idea if the scientists could come up with say just one or two pills that would work on all ailments? Doubt it will ever happen though.

If your life takes a turn and your health is at risk, the medicine will seem like a blessing and you won't be "fed up".
I can understand your feeling now, but I think it would help to consider this problem from a different life. I am serious now...
Think of the people in poverty stricken countries who would beg or plead for medicine to save their lives. Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself how you would feel about those pills. Taking them is a simple as brushing your teeth.
It is your life. Do you want to save it?

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Right now they are saving you life. Your only other option is to talk to a homeopathic specialist to see if other natural products could replace any of the pills. BUT. I wouldn't make the switch unless my doctor gave the OK, which is unlikely to happen. But if you do the research, you might persuade him.

Life sucks, suspect being dead no barrel of laughs either. Your choice.
This is a simple issue of concordance - it is up to you to decide if you want to take the prescribed medication or not. No-one is forcing you? To whinge about taking only THREE meds is frankly annoying - hope you live long enough to whinge about taking TWELVE.
