The only one you can actually get from a toilet seat is pubic lice (crabs), this is REALLY rare though. Lice cannot survive away from the human body for longer than 24 hours. So contracting pubic lice from a toilet seat is possible, but it's unlikely.

Most STDs don't survive very long outside of the body. STDs are usually only transmitted during sexual contact, either by skin-to-skin contact or through body fluid exchange.

eat a hairball - no way! yet if you consider which you pronounced a rest room seat, did you comprehend that the bathroom seat is between the cleanest areas of the bathing room. think of approximately it, in basic terms butts touch it and what does your butt touch? Get your head out of the gutter! It remains on your pants and would not are available touch with something. The dirtiest area of the bathing room is the door knob....yeah you grab it once you wash you palms and bypass back to the table and eat....think of approximately that next time! This has all been examined and proved. i actually, wash my palms before I take a whizz, b/c i comprehend i'm clean.

My 76 year old grandmother got chlamydia from a toilet seat about 8 years ago. She didn't go out very often, since she had cancer, and was mostly homebound, in the last stages. The docs said that's what it had to be. She had gone out to eat with my family right after an dr. appt. and a couple months later, (no other outings), and she tested + for it. So I know for a fact it can happen. If your immune system's depressed (like with chemo), or if you have open wounds, it can happen. You can get a cold from touching a filthy doorknob and then scratching your nose, then you can get an STD from having a cut on your butt come into contact with the virus or bacteria on a toilet seat.

It's been said that some viruses like herpes can live for a VERY short time on a public toilet seat, although there's been no studies to confirm it.

The only one that I would think you would even have a remote chance of catching is pubic lice or crabs.

It is highly unlikely that you can get any std's from toilet seats. However, it is possible, unlikely, but possible to get crabs.
