I love my curries and the hottest one I ever had was a Goan curry. I,ve not seen anywhere in the U.K where you can get a curry house that makes it. The next hottest was a Tindaloo, also very scarce in the U.K. The hottest you can get here seems to be a Phall, which is in my mind a medium hot curry. The curry houses in the U.K. only seem to cater for the average clientel who do not like too hot a curry. If you ask the curryhouse they will usualy make the curry hotter for you over the normal.

Hottest Curry

From a menu it would be a Phall, or sometimes called a Bangalore Phall. The hottest curry I ever tasted was simply called Chilli Chicken, but it all comes down to the amount and strength of the chillis. Some varieties, e.g. Scotch Bonnet, are known to be stronger, but sometimes they can be unpredictable. All I know is the curry I mentioned above effectively destroyed my taste buds for around 24 hours.

A phall is the hottest curry, but the hot bite of any powerful curry is down to the chili content. So you could effectively create a hotter phall than most would recommend! This can be applied to any vegetable or vegetables, but being a hot curry fan myself, I do recommend that you tread carefully-locally my restaurant's version set my boots alight!!

to my knowledge the hottest curry is called a Phall. Not all restaurants serve it and those that do often ask if you've had it before. rather you than me !!

Goan Vindaloos can be very hot, because they are made with the small, apple shaped red chilis of Goa... But eaten outside of Goa, God knows what kind of chilis restaurants use...

In India, I think the hottest cuisine is Andhra Pradesh - no doubt because of the chilies that grow there.

The hottest curry is a phal.
Hubby has had one before and spent most of the next day in the toilet. Never seen anyone sweat so much in my life!!
