I want something "scrapbook-like" to attach to a pumpkin spice Yankee candle (the small ones) with raffia and give out at the shower. Here's the poem:

This is a gift for you today,
So when I'm born you'll light my way.
And when that happy day is here,
Burn this candle and spread good cheer.
Love,
Bella

Anyone??

Wrap the candle in tulle (fabric of any kind really). Punch a hole in a tiny printed piece of paper or card stock with the poem on it. loop a ribbon through it and gather the fabric around the candle. Tie it with the ribbon. Voila!

I would just print it 9-12 times on an appropriate-colored paper, cut out w/ ridges scissors, punch a hole, and loop thru some of the raffia. You could mount the poem on a more substantial piece of colored cardstock, if you like.

Bella is a beautiful name!

Buy little plain paper books, the tiny ones (they look like mini phone books, and they have different colors). They have them at the book shops in the malls, like B Dalton, and others. You can write your sweet poem in them, and set them inside each candle, you can set them sitting open slightly so people will want to look and see what is written in it. You can also paste tiny pictures of yourself, or any other pictures you can find in a magazine refering to your theme, of pumpkins, babies, or flowers. I hope you have a wonderful baby shower. Kids are the best, arent they? Good luck, and have a good time.

I did this seveal years ago for my sister, The same poem with small candles. used Business Card stock paper to type the peom on, Used fancy sissors to cut around the card, punched hole in corner and strung with Thin Silk Ribbon. then used netting and covered the candle and tied on the ribbon, with poem.
Worked great.

Yes you could type it in your notebook on your computer then print it out. Use a paper punch to make a small hole to attach it to the raffia.

attach it in the wick and just read it in moderation until the fire burn it...what a romantic one...make sure your paper is hard one for uneasy burning..
