There is a disease called Sarcoidosis, that doctors frequently misdiagnose or overlook. They have to do a biopsy of her lungs to diagnose. Symptoms caused by the disease occurring in the lungs include shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and, sometimes, chest pain.

Seems like the doctors are doing tests and all is OK so they have I'm sure probably checked all the things that were mentioned above here.. Is she asthmatic? Does she have allergies? Those two things would cause alot of coughing and all too but not usually so much pain but the pain maybe is caused by all the coughing? So hopefully it is something more simple like this have her ask her doctors about this and see what they say OK? Good luck to her
