Iceberg lettuce is sold as head lettuce in the grocery store. Not very nutritious but it is what most people use for salads.

It's the boring light green stuff that comes in a "head" the size of a small bowling ball. It's low on calories, nutrition and flavor. It's what house salads are usually made of at cheap italian restaurants. The only retarded question is the one unasked.
