We just noticed that two Hardees in our area (Illinois) have added the name "Red Burrito" to their sign.

They apparently have a menu of Mexican food in addition to the usual Hardees hamburgers, etc.

This is not in an area where there is a huge Mexican population, so I wondered, have they tested this in other areas already? Please tell us what state you live in, and if it has a large Mexican population.

I'm not being antagonist -- I love Mexican food. Just wondered if they are testing the new concept here, or if it has already been tested elsewhere.

If you've been there, please give a review of what you like and dislike from their menu, if you'd like.

Sounds like they tried it first in CA and now here? No other states responded. They called all our Hardees "Carls Jr" around here for a short time... several years ago... and nearly went out of business. So they changed the name back to Hardees. I guess us plain ol' midwesterners liked the name Hardees. Who'd think "fast food" would be so competitive??!! LOL

Carls Jr owns Hardees.
Carls has the green burrito and made Hardees into a dual restaurant with co branding. Thus you have Hardees red burrito.
Carl's Jr calls the shots, not Hardees.

Carl's Jr. In California bought the Hardee's company but kept the name. Carl's Jr. has Green Burrito. I am not surprised that Hardee's is finally doing the same thing, but with a different name.

LOL The West Coast version of Hardee's Red Burrito is Carl's Jr.'s Green Burrito.

San Diego is a mecca for Mexican food and the Green Burrito is what I would consider to be "plastic" Mexican food. And, it is in a nutshell--GROSS!

Honestly, if I had to eat fastfood Mexican food, I would stick with Taco Bell.

I'm scared of Hardees food, much less a burrito by hardees.
