First, let me tell you how sorry I am that you are having to be treated for this and second, I hope that you received tests for other sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV....the reason why you are still having symptoms is because you are only on day four and this is extended release, so this will take some time. I hope that you also was treated with an IM injection of Rocephin....or something else. I would give it at least 8-10 days. You should have an appointment to follow up at that time to be recultured and whatever you do, dont be having sexual relations with anyone! Especially the person you think you got it from, because if your partner hasnt been treated then you are not helping to get rid of this infection. I hope this information was helpful to you.

Yes, remember the Zithromax is going to continue working for another 7 days--even after you are done taking the pills.
You should start to feel better soon. Go to the store and buy some cranberry juice. That will help flush out the bad stuff. You should also be eating a cup of yogurt everyday. The antibiotics kill the bad bacteria and the good bacteria and you have to replace the good stuff. You can get a yeast infection if you don't (and them you'll burn even more.)

Zithromax is a popular anti-bacterial drug developed by Pfizer, the highly-popular pharmaceutical company known for making Viagra and a wealth of other products. Pfizer is a well-established company that received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
As mentioned above, Zithromax is a powerful anti-bacterial drug that is most commonly prescribed for conditions such as pneumonia, sinusitis, chlamydia, and ear infections. The full name for the drug is azithromycin, and it can be quite effective against harmful bacteria in the skin. Recently Zithromax has been adapted for use against adult acne, and while it is effective against all forms of acne, it is generally reserved for the more severe types. Zithromax is most commonly distributed in "Z-Paks", which come with six 250mg tablets. One can also obtain 500mg tablets. There are different dosage patterns for different people that are determined by the prescribing physician.

because you're only on your 4th day, give it a little more time until you finally complete the whole treatment course. symptoms don't disappear that fast. drink lots of water, abstain from having sexual intercourse while taking the medications and avoid alcohol. if you have made sure you have done all these things, then there shouldn't be anything to get too frantic about. you will feel better soon. i just pray you havent got any more complications associated with this infection. take care.

yes it is common, a "Z pack" is a time release treatment, and it takes ten days to have full effect. If you still have symptoms on the 8th day out from the start of the medication, that is the time to call the doctor.

Because you haven't finished the Zpak yet... give it the full 5 days and then 5 more after the pak is done.
