unfortunately.. i stick with the house salads.
:(
i sometimes give in when i go to a certain restaurant and get the wine and their garlic, skinned mashed potatoes in butter... i can't help it...
because none of the restaurants in the region are vegan and or vegetarian friendly.
and i'm vegetarian because of my health and my GERD.
:(
i know i know and here i drink wine... shame on me.

I LOVE Zio's. I don't know if those are everywhere, or just here...? It's an Italian restaurant, and they have delicious food. We went there last week, and I got a small bowl of minestrone and a "build-your-own" pizza option. You choose three toppings, and the choices are things like roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, olives, spinach... Mmm... I am bordering between veggie and vegan. I want to be vegan. I don't eat eggs, because I am allergic to them anyway. I don't DRINK milk, but I can't seem to quit on cheese altogether. When I am strong :) I get the pizza without cheese, or order a pasta and veggies dish. They also have a great veggie lasagna when I am eating cheese (well, they HAVE it when I am not eating cheese, too, but you know what I mean..).
Another great veggie restaurant is Mexican... From spinach enchiladas to taco salads with beans, you can eat great without being cruel. Again, it tastes better with cheese, though. Eating out as a vegan is a little challenging, I'll admit. At least it is in the mid-west. I know in several coastal cities you can eat at restaurants that don't even serve meat... But here, people who pass on BBQ are considered freaks... LOL... â¥

VRG.org sells a booklet that tells you what menu items are vegan or vegetarian at many chain restaurants. You can also locate veagn/veggie restaurants worldwide. If all else fails salads.

Chinese=veggie pot stickers. Indian= potato naan and any mixed veggie curry. Steakhouse= salad and a baked potato. Thai= pad thai, but good luck finding a good one without fish sauce :( I lean toward vegan, but when I'm out I will have a grilled cheese with tomato at a cheap family restaurant.

eatting out really sucks I think, for most resturants in my area dont cater to vegetarian/vegans.
I just get salad, and if they have veggies as side dishes get those.

I like Mexican--tacos, etc, with beans in place of meat. I really like enchinadas de mole with cheese in place of meat.
