While it is true the avocados are high in fat (30 grams of fat per medium avocado.) Avocados contain monounsaturated fat -- the "good" kind that actually lowers bad cholesterol levels (LDL) and increase good cholesterol levels (HDL). Avocados can decrease LDL (low-density lipoprotein, or "bad fat") and triglycerides, both associated with heart disease. Avocados can also increase HDL (high-density lipoprotein, or "good fat") levels, which tend to lower the risk of heart disease. Consult with you doctor about how much fat you should be getting in your diet.

Yes, Because one single avocado contains as much as 2 cups of shrimps. Wouldn't really recommend avocado, but only when you really, really, really have to crave it...
